Christmas is meant to be a time of celebration and connection. For many young people we support, it can be one of the hardest times of the year.

School stops. Services slow down. Budgets tighten, and family support isn’t always there. The basics many of us take for granted can suddenly feel out of reach.

This year, we’re asking our community to help make it a Brighter Christmas, with a little help from a claw machine.

How the Christmas Claw Machine works

We’ve all lost a few coins to a claw machine, but our machine never misses.

  1. Choose your donation amount, from $10 up to $200, or enter your own.
  2. Watch the claw drop and grab a surprise gift.
  3. That gift goes to a young person we support this Christmas.

You can play again as many times as you like, and when you donate, you’re providing a real gift for a real young person.

The Christmas Claw Machine closes on 15 December, so every gift reaches a young person before the school holidays and Christmas.

What your gift means

Every gift in the machine is something a young person we support genuinely needs.

  • A personalised gift
  • An everyday essentials care pack
  • A clothing essentials pack
  • A household essentials pack

These might sound small. For a young person working hard to build stability, they can make a real difference. Having the basics covered means one less thing to worry about.

Most of all, each gift is a reminder that someone in their community is in their corner.

“Christmas can be a lonely and uncertain time for the young people we work with. Many are doing it tough without the family support others rely on. We wanted to make giving feel as joyful as the season should be, and the Christmas Claw Machine does exactly that. Every go puts something practical into the hands of a young person who needs it. When you donate, you’re telling them their community has their back.”– Michelle Jenkins, CEO | Youth Futures
