What if you could donate to charity without spending any money at all?

Containers for Change makes it possible.

Every eligible bottle and can already sitting in your recycling can be turned into a donation for Youth Futures. You’re not paying out of pocket, you’re just redirecting a refund that’s already owed to you. It costs you nothing, and it means everything to the young people we support across Western Australia.

Containers for Change lets you turn everyday recycling into a real donation, at no cost to you.

Every eligible drink container carries a 10c refund, and instead of pocketing it yourself, you can direct that refund straight to Youth Futures.

All it takes is a quick drop-off at your local refund point and our member number.

Here’s how it works

It only takes four simple steps.

That’s it. No paperwork, no fuss, just a small everyday habit with a real impact.

Why It Matters

For over 40 years, Youth Futures has stood alongside young people facing adversity, providing the housing, education, and wellbeing support they need to build brighter futures.

That kind of support relies on donations, but donating doesn’t always have to come out of your wallet.

Every container you already recycle has a 10c refund attached to it. Left unclaimed, that money simply disappears. Directed to Youth Futures, it becomes part of something bigger, helping fund the programs, people, and spaces that give young people the chance to feel safe, supported, and seen.

Make It a Habit

Next time you’re about to toss a bottle or can in the recycling bin, pause for a second. Instead, take it to your nearest Containers for Change refund point, quote C11654876, and know you’ve just made a free donation to a young person’s future.

Save this post. Share it with your friends and family. And next time you return your containers, think Youth Futures.
